Community architecture

Together with Maarten Weyns, in 2021, we co-founded Meow where we practice architecture collectively. Meow collective creates inclusive, vibrant and playful public spaces by engaging a broad range of local actors and professionals in the design process. By amplifying underrepresented voices and embedding local stories into the design, we strive to reflect the rich diversity of the city within its public spaces. Acting as a bridge between architects, landscape designers, local governments, non-profits organisations, and residents, Meow collective aims to democratise the creation of public spaces. Through collective analysis, workshops, events, interventions, and feedback loops, we collaboratively shape designs that meet the unique needs of each neighbourhood.
